What year did you first start practicing yoga?

I started practicing yoga in 2017.

Was there any particular reason you started practicing yoga?

My therapist recommended yoga and mindfulness to ease my mental health symptoms. What I did not know at the time was that yoga would change my life and set my career path!

Favorite posture and why?

Ananda Balasana (Happy Baby!) is my favorite pose because it is a hip opener, it allows me to be curious and playful, and incorporating rocking helps ease my nervous system.

Why do you currently practice this yoga?

I practice yoga because it facilitates my wellness and because I believe it has liberatory properties that offer steadiness and ease to the lives of People of Color.

What do you love about teaching yoga?

Healing others

Two things most people don’t know about you? 

I played softball for over 15 years, and I have 77 cousins on my mom’s side of my family (but I am an only child!).
