50 hours of preparatory work including:

  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • General anatomy and yoga anatomy work
  • Teaching homework
  • Required and optional reading

A minimum of 100 hours of class room time including

  • 20 hours professional skills development
  • 40 hour posture analysis
  • 40 hours of coaching and gaining teaching skills
  • 75 hours of hot yoga practice

A minimum of six hours of on-the-podium teaching including:

  • At least three full classes
  • Observation from the front of the practice room
  • Round robin teaching 3-4 postures several times a week
  • Comprehensive, positive and useful feedback

The Sterling Method of Original Hot Yoga and Vinyasa instruction sets our training apart from others. At Sterling, we utilize a variety of teaching tools to address different learning styles of the adult student.
