What year did you first start practicing yoga?
Was there any particular reason you started practicing yoga?
In college, my roomie started attending classes and knew I would it as much as her. Yoga was fun, kept me in good shape and connected me with a community that I loved. As a vocal performance major, I was also pleased that it improved my performance in the areas of posture and lung capacity.
Favorite posture and why?
Tree and Toe Stand. I love the stability of grounding the standing foot and finding alignment. It makes me feel confident and powerful!
Why do you currently practice this yoga?
I feel all around amazing! Physically, yoga keeps my metabolism going and makes me proud of my body. Mentally, yoga keeps me positive and calm. Even when I do have a rough day, 90 minutes in the Yoga room brings me back to a healthy prospective.
What do you love about teaching yoga?
Seeing people discover and reach their potential! It’s incredible to see people amazed by their own abilities and reminded of their own value. I feel humbled and blessed to observe and be a part of that process.
Two things most people don’t know about you?
I am originally from Louisiana, and I love to cook good, spicy food! I am also a classically trained opera singer.
