What year did you first start practicing yoga?

Was there any particular reason you started practicing yoga?
I was working at a local Non-Profit at the time and Sterling was hosting a ‘Karma’ class to benefit the organization.  My plan was to sign up the day before the actual class, so that I could learn everything about the Yoga and be amazing the next day, when my co workers came in.

Favorite posture and why?
This changes frequently for me. Right now its Standing Head to knee. This posture improves my focus and attention and tells me where I need to relax and let go.

I’m madly in love with back bends and inversions. Give me a wall and I’m a happy gal.

Why do you currently practice this yoga?
Because it gives me everything that I need.

What do you love about teaching yoga?
This is the best job in the world. I am most happy when I wake up, come into the studio and teach in the morning.  I love my clients, the work they are putting into themselves and seeing their bodies/minds/lives transform because of their efforts.

Two things most people don’t know about you?
I love cooking and participate in chopped style local cooking competitions.  I used to live in a commune.
